Sports flooring is where biomechanics, durability and budget meet. This short guide breaks down the four systems we install most across the UAE — and where each one truly belongs.

Polyurethane (PU)

Seamless, shock-absorbing and the gold standard for indoor multi-sport halls. PU systems give consistent ball bounce and joint protection, and last 12–15 years with proper maintenance.

  • Best for: indoor halls, gyms, fitness studios
  • Thickness: 6–9 mm typical
  • Lifespan: 12–15 years

Acrylic hard court

The classic outdoor tennis and basketball surface. Cost-effective, low-maintenance and available in any colour, but offers minimal shock absorption — pair with a cushioned base for player comfort.

  • Best for: outdoor tennis, basketball, multi-use courts
  • Layers: 4–8 acrylic coats over asphalt or concrete
  • Lifespan: 7–10 years before recoat

EPDM rubber

The go-to for running tracks, kids play areas and rooftop fitness zones. Excellent fall-height ratings, UV-stable colours and a soft, forgiving feel underfoot.

  • Best for: tracks, play areas, rooftops
  • Thickness: 10–40 mm depending on fall height
  • Lifespan: 8–12 years

Modular interlocking tile

When you need a quick install or a temporary venue, modular polypropylene tile is unbeatable. It is also our recommendation for short-term activations and tournament overlays.

  • Best for: pop-ups, temporary courts, garages
  • Install: snap-fit, no adhesive
  • Lifespan: 5–8 years

Key takeaway

There is no single best flooring — only the right system for the sport, the climate and the booking calendar. Match the surface to the use case and the rest of the project becomes easy.
